Bovard-Anderson sales agent Jill Dehart has worked with a variety of customers over the years, going “above and beyond” to help close deals that don’t always fit the traditional mold.
Once, a customer was in the midst of a divorce after years of marriage and wanted absolutely no one to know. As Jill showed her a variety of houses, they had to be very discrete. “The customer was a very private person, but she trusted me, and the transaction went well,” says Jill.
Another potential customer only wanted to look at houses under $10,000. Jill took the couple to a major fixer-upper in Beaver Falls that had been foreclosed and was for sale “as is.” Recalls Jill, “I didn’t feel good about the house and tried to stop them from going in.” But as they walked up creaky steps, and observed the fallen bathroom ceiling, it was clear that the couple saw great potential, and had happily found what they were looking for.
At other times, Jill has filled special roles to bring deals to closure. She once went to a home inspection when the customer couldn’t be there. On another occasion, when a closing and moving were scheduled at the same time on the same day, the customer went to the closing, and Jill was with the movers while babysitting the customer’s children.
Jill and her husband have two daughters. They are active with Four Mile Presbyterian Church and involved with Bible studies and small groups. She also is a “soccer mom,” transporting their daughters to soccer as well as gymnastics, softball, track and field and basketball. Through her professional and personal activities, Jill says, she knows how to plan schedules and juggle activities to “make things work.”
